Nepal Black

Premium Nepal Black

Nepal is one of our favourite tea producing countries, high up in the Himalayas where the fog lays heavy and the air is crisp. Nepal succeed to create teas with a soul beyond the refined flavours.

We find this tea being a bit different from the normal first flush with floral and light notes you often expect. This tea has a nice body with hints of spices and dried apricot, sweet ripe lychee fruit, and a welcoming astringent note. The flavours keep developing in your mouth, leaving you with a sweet fruity aftertaste.

Grown at the organic tea garden Guranse on an altitude 1000-2200m. 95 % of the workers are women and the Company pays for several of the workers children's education and pays for the salary of teachers at the village school.

This tea is divine to drink as a cold brew, it really gives you an interesting complexity and it's fun to pair with meals, or as a refreshing warm brew in the middle of the day when you need a pick me up.

This tea can be a bit tricky to brew due to its delicate process and green leaves. The astringent notes can easily come out if you brew it too warm or too long. We therefore recommend you to follow the brewing instructions.

1st - 2g of tea to 200ml of water temperature 80-83c° for 2 minutes.
2nd -  Water temperature 83c° for 3 minutes.
3rd - Water temperature 85c° for 3 minutes.

4g to 600ml cold water, in the fridge for 4-8 hours
